over the past
65-months
since the current Subscription Refund Guarantee Period started on January 1,
2008
.
Compass Investors urges subscribers not to focus on short-term results--whether
up or down--as you should instead focus on the superior results that
Horizon™ provides over the long-term (see Market Cycle results that follow).
Horizon™ is the ONLY strategy that you can count on to produce increased
gains in sustained up markets and protection of account value in severe down
markets
thereby always keeping you on the path towards having Retirement Income
Security.
During the Market Cycle that began 01/01/1997, as of 06/17/13, an initial $100,000 starting investment guided by Horizon™’s Adaptive Asset Allocation™ (AAA) strategy grew by $477,094 to $577,094, a growth of 477% (excluding any additional contributions). Please refer to the Service Disclaimer for additional information on the calculation of performance and the use of proxy and benchmark funds in the
Horizon™ Model Portfolio.
This compares to the growth, over that same period, of $100,000 invested in the following alternatives: - The Plan Index (PI)* grew by $276,293 -- Horizon™’s growth was 73% higher.
- The best performing Formulaic Asset Allocation (FAA)** fund (Fidelity Freedom 2020) grew by $189,341 -- Horizon™’s growth was 152% higher.
- The S&P 500 Index grew by $117,225 -- Horizon™’s growth was 307% higher.
- A Money Market investment grew by $55,052 -- Horizon™’s growth was 767% higher.

Never forget that your key to success is always to focus on your long-term
results that you will achieve over market cycles, not on short-term results.
Providing for your Retirement Income Security (RIS) is a "marathon not a sprint." HORIZON™ outperforms all other approaches over all market cycles—maximizing plan growth during
up markets, limiting loss during down markets and quickly recovering any lost plan
value after a down market ends—leading to the largest plan value by the time you
retire.

Compass Investors is the only company we are aware of in the
financial services business that stands behind its service with a Subscription
Refund Guarantee.
Following your 5th anniversary of becoming a subscriber, the value of the
Horizon™ investment made on January 1st of the year you subscribed will always
be greater than one of the following two investment alternatives. And if it is not, you may
cancel your subscription and receive a full refund of the prior year's fees.
- Subscription Refund Guarantee #1: A Plan Index (PI)
investment*, and
- Subscription Refund Guarantee #2: The plan's best
Formulaic Asset Allocation (FAA)**
investment
Definitions
* The Plan Index (PI) investment
is defined as the return from an equal distribution of a
portfolio's dollar balance, reallocated each Action Report period, into each of the available
fund choices. The Plan Index is essentially the average
return of the funds included in the Horizon™
Model Portfolio.
** If your plan includes a Formulaic
Asset Allocation (FAA) fund (e.g., Life Style, Life Cycle, Life Stage, Balanced,
Target Date Fund, Balanced, etc.) then the performance of the domestic FAA fund
in your plan that had the best return during the year prior to the start of each
guarantee period. Otherwise, either the performance of a 70/30 equity/fixed
income style mix of the best performing funds in the Horizon™ Model Portfolio
during the year prior to the start of each guarantee period or the Fidelity
Freedom fund that had the best return during the year prior to the start of each
guarantee period.
